Renovation for GOROM 3 underway

The main aim for AREA CODE at GOROM 3 is to improve the lives of the children here sustainably through education, and part of doing that is by renovating the classrooms.

Whilst the provision of clean running water remains our priority here at Dakar, AREA CODE aim to improve building efficiency for the two large teaching blocks by also funding new furniture, concrete flooring, air conditioning and reparation of doors and windows. Textbooks, teacher’s training, laptops/ computers and interactive whiteboards  will also be part of our plans improve quality of education. 

As well as inside repairs and refurbishment, our community have plans to invest in outside recreational facilities so students have access to a safe and pleasant environment during class breaks.
